Position Summary Information

Job Summary/Basic Function

Duties:
• Perform instruction related duties including scheduling sessions in LibCal, Outlook, and LibAnalytics
• Assist with collecting and reporting of library instruction statistics
• Provide part time reference service to library patrons via chat and reference desk shifts
• Assist patrons in the use of library resources including the library catalog, electronic databases, the Internet, and print reference materials
• Perform library related duties such as shifting and shelving materials
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree required

Knowledge:
• Standard library and/or office practices and procedures
Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and the general public
• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to understand and carry out work assignments based on general knowledge
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general public
• Basic computer literacy/familiar and comfortable with computers both hardware and software

Skills:
